As President Obama has prepared for the 2 previous debates and the final one this coming Monday evening, most Americans have known that John Kerry, a failed presidential candidate, has been coaching him.
But did you know who else is coaching and providing guidance to the President for the next debate?
Anita Dunn.
Remember her?
Probably not.
But her name sounds familiar.
She’s the former White House staffer who told a group of high school students that Mao Zedong was one of her two favorite political philosophers.
Yes, that Mao Zedong.
Soon after she was gone from the White House, not because the President disagreed, but because the conservative media put the story out to the public.
Now she’s back. Here’s what she told the high school kids. What is she telling the President? And why his fascination with her, given her beliefs?
I have linked her comments to the high school kids, but this is a part of what she told them:
“In 1947, when Mao Zedong was being challenged within his own party on his plan to take over China, Chiang Kai-shek and the Nationalist Chinese held the cities; they had the army, they had the air force, they had everything on their side. And people said, ‘How can you win? How can you do this? How can you do this against all of the odds against you?’ And Mao Zedong said, you know, ‘You fight your war, and I’ll fight mine.’ And think about that for a second.
You know, you don’t have to accept the definition of how to do things, and you don’t have to follow other people’s choices and paths, OK? It is about your choices and your path. You fight your own war. You lay out your own path. You figure out what’s right for you. You don’t let external definition define how good you are internally. You fight your war. You let them fight theirs. Everybody has their own path.”
If her point was self esteem, why use Mao?
Mao, the Chinese communist dictator murdered 45 million of his own people during his “Great Leap Forward” (yes, he called it FORWARD) campaign and at least 65 million people overall. He was the man behind the creation of the gulag that we know as North Korea.
I have spoken with people who lived in China during his reign. It was a reign of terror.
A mad man and a murderer.
He is one of her favorites. And she is coaching the President on foreign policy for the Monday evening debate. Keep that in mind as you watch.
He knows where she is coming from because his administration tried to defend her when FOX News originally reported on her speech to the high school kids. The White House said she was joking or being ironic. The video clearly showed otherwise.
Dunn then attacked Fox for reporting the story.
Breitbart had this to say about her current role with the President:
“Now she’s back. Just in time to walk Obama through his answers on foreign policy. How fitting for a woman who says that one of her two favorite political philosophers is Mao Zedong to be advising a president who has made our economy and foreign policy largely subject to the whims of communist China.”
