Graving yard bid goes to Poulsbo company

(Olympia, WA) – A Poulsbo company has turned in the lowest bid for a graving yard in Port Angeles.

Kiewit-General of Poulsbo submitted a bid of $204 million to repair and replace the 42-year-old Hood Canal Bridge.

Along with the project is the construction of a graving yard on the Port Angeles waterfront to build the pontoons and anchors for the bridge.

The state transportation department will now start a bid verification process that will result in a bid award announcement within the next two weeks.
