The following is a flyer/press release from the Okanogan County Farm Bureau 1/12/03 Critical RMAP Rally!! ¨
Proposed Legislative Changes Will Still Cost Private Landowners Millions! Private Property Rights Ignored-- It’s still a Taking!
Our United past opposition Stopped RMAPs last spring and we all need to stand up again! We need the citizens of Okanogan County united to change RMAP Legislation and Protect Private Property Rights!
Okanogan County Farm Bureau will sponsor a RMAP Rally and Information Meeting on newly proposed legislative changes to state Road Maintenance and Abandonment Plan (RMAP) regulations. The changes proposed by the Forests and Fish Group do little to relieve private property owners of burdensome and costly road maintenance and culvert replacements on private land and Private Property Rights are still at risk! The state still wants you to protect “public resources” on your private land to their “adaptive” specifications at your cost!
