(Port Angeles) – Representatives with a new airline coming to Port Angeles, say people shouldn’t worry about flying to Boeing field and shuttling to Sea Tac. Clyde and Shane Carlson along with Pat O’Day talked to the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce yesterday about San Juan Airlines’ plans to fly from Port Angeles. The airline plans to fly nine-passenger planes from here to Boeing Field and then offering a free shuttle to Sea-Tac. O’Day says San Juan thinks there is less hassle in using Boeing Field as opposed to Sea-Tac airport. He says it will take about 15 minutes to unload and shuttle to Sea Tac. San Juan will begin five flights a day on January 7th, three days after Horizon Airlines pulls out of Port Angeles. The company plans charge 89 dollars each way for its flight to and from Seattle. The Port of Port Angeles and a local task force is still pursuing getting another carrier in Port Angeles that would fly direct to Sea-Tac.
