Fire Burns Elwha Resort at Oly Natl Park
PORT ANGELES, WA Sept. 8, 2001 -- A fire at the closed Elwha Resort in the Olympic National Park destroyed the main building -- a grocery-gas station built in the 1920's. Park spokeswoman Barb Maynes says Thursday night's fire is suspicious. The resort on Highway 101 was taken over by the park last year and closed as part of the Elwha reclamation. from KIRO 7 News
