Sequim, WA.- Jesse Young (R) , candidate for Congressional District 6, joined approximately 90 people, Saturday, January 7th,  at the Boys & Girls Club.

"I am running a non-traditional campaign and casting a vision,” determined Young. The attendees came in force to help Jesse and many of them offered themselves and their time to help him win the very
important race.

Young is the only non-incumbent receiving the only Republican Party endorsement  in the State of Washington.  "Grays Harbor changed their bylaws to get that," he said.

Young lives in Gig Harbor with his wife Jen and five children. He has a private consulting company (Russell Investments ) .  The Notre Dame graduate is running the second time for the seat, now held by Norm Dicks (D) .
"He has been in that office, since before I was born," said Young . He believes it is time for Dicks to be defeated and has plans to be that person who defeats him. The candidate attended publicvschools in Tacoma.   He graduated Valedictorian of his high school class. He graduated, from Notre Dame  in 1999 with a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems.

Bringing a Constitutionally centered mindset and principled business expertise to Congress, is the primary focus of Young. His message is “Fix, Secure, and Empower”. He lists our nation’s important issues as "fiscal responsibility, a free market economy and jobs and political accountability.”

Young stands on individual freedom, peace through strength and energy independence. To empower our futures, he said he believes in educational choice, patient-centered health care, and American exceptionalism. Paramount for this area, he believes the Wild Olympics thrust must be eliminated. "This proposal will  hurt our economy and kill more jobs." He states it also will not help our environment.

Accountability and measurability are necessary, according to Young. "Measurability is nothing without accountability. I want to be measurable to you," he affirmed.
Effectiveness is also important to Young.  "We need to be right and effective, on issues, "announced the candidate. He also  listed “believability” and “credibility” -- assets most needed in the campaign.
"I am embarrassed by our current leadership right now," he said, and committed to not spending money that we do not have.

The next meeting, for the candidate, will be 7 PM,  in Port Angeles, January 17th, at the Senior Center.
